Beginning Monday, October 20, 2025, the Judiciary no longer has funding to sustain full, paid operations.  The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee will continue to perform its constitutional duty to hear proceedings and matters in the cases before the court, but Court staff may only perform certain excepted activities permitted under the Anti-Deficiency Act.  CM/ECF and PACER will continue to be available for electronic filing and case information.  The Court does not anticipate closing the court at this time. However, during this Lapse in Appropriations, the Court will continue to examine the effect on the court operations and will routinely update the status on the Court's website.  Further information about the Judiciary’s funding status may be found here.
