The Judiciary has received reports of creditors in bankruptcy cases being contacted by an entity known as Public Digital. The contact is typically via an email entitled “Claims Filing Service Alert: Upcoming Deadline.”  The communication offers to file a creditors proof of claim through their “private agency” which offers “a simplified online filing service” for a “one-time preparation fee.”

Please be advised that creditors may prepare and file their proof of claim free of charge and without a CM/ECF login directly with the Court. For more information on filing a proof of claim in a case in the Middle District of Tennessee, please see the Court’s ePOC page.
